J-SALUNGKA: Journal Studies of Application, Learning, and Innovation: United in Knowledge and Human Advancement is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge, practical application, and human-centric innovation. Positioned as a premier multidisciplinary scholarly forum, the journal serves a global network of researchers, educators, technologists, and social scientists. J-SALUNGKA prioritizes rigorous applied research, transformative educational frameworks, and disruptive innovations that address complex, real-world challenges. By uniting diverse academic disciplines under the shared goal of human advancement, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how integrated knowledge, lifelong learning, and technological progress can drive sustainable development, social equity, and holistic human prosperity.

Scope and Topics

Reflecting its broad and progressive mandate, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, critical literature reviews, and empirical case studies that offer significant contributions to the following thematic areas:

  • Applied Sciences & Technology (Application): Practical implementations of emerging technologies, applied engineering, computer science applications, environmental technology, and data-driven solutions for industry and society.

  • Educational Pedagogy & Lifelong Learning (Learning): Innovative instructional design, educational psychology, digital learning environments (EdTech), curriculum transformation, and strategies for inclusive, continuous human development.

  • Social & Technological Innovation (Innovation): Business and social entrepreneurship, creative industries, disruptive business models, organizational innovation, and the socio-economic impacts of the digital economy.

  • Humanities & Social Sciences (Human Advancement): Cultural studies, sociology, public policy, ethics of technology, community empowerment, human rights, and strategies for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • Interdisciplinary & Cross-Sectoral Studies (United in Knowledge): Research that synthesizes insights from multiple disciplines (e.g., the intersection of technology, education, and human behavior) to solve complex global crises.

Publication Frequency

To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and timely dissemination of expansive multidisciplinary research, J-SALUNGKA is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on urgent global challenges, breakthrough educational paradigms, or transformative social innovations may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

J-SALUNGKA enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, analytical objectivity, and methodological validity across all disciplines.

  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Subject Editor to assess thematic alignment, methodological soundness (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.

  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established academic experts in the specific disciplinary or interdisciplinary domain of the submitted research.

  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on the intellectual merit, theoretical rigor, and practical applicability of the work to broad societal and scientific advancement.

Mission Statement

The mission of J-SALUNGKA is to deconstruct academic silos and catalyze transformative, interdisciplinary solutions within a rapidly evolving global society.
