SASAMBO: Journal Penelitian dan Inovasi Pendidikan is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research at the forefront of pedagogical advancement, instructional design, and educational transformation. Positioned as a premier scholarly forum, the journal serves educational researchers, teachers, school administrators, curriculum developers, and policymakers worldwide. SASAMBO prioritizes macro-level systemic evaluations, rigorous empirical classroom research, and disruptive educational frameworks that address the complex challenges of modern knowledge acquisition. By bridging foundational educational theories with contemporary, tech-driven, and culturally responsive teaching methodologies, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how innovative learning environments optimize student potential, cognitive development, and academic excellence across diverse demographics.

Scope and Topics

The journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, critical literature reviews, and empirical classroom action research that offer significant contributions to the following thematic areas:

  • Pedagogical Innovations & Teaching Strategies: Novel instructional models, project-based learning (PBL), differentiated instruction, experiential learning frameworks, and advanced critical thinking pedagogies.

  • Educational Technology & Digital Learning: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classrooms, e-learning architectures, gamification, educational software evaluation, and digital literacy.

  • Curriculum Development & Educational Evaluation: Modern curriculum mapping, inclusive education frameworks, adaptive assessment strategies, and the alignment of educational outcomes with national and global competency standards.

  • Educational Leadership, Policy, and Management: School administration, continuous professional development for educators, educational equity, and the macro-level evaluation of educational reforms and policies.

  • Sociology, Psychology, and Character Education: Cognitive processes in learning, student motivation, cross-cultural educational environments, character building, and holistic education.

Publication Frequency

To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and timely dissemination of cutting-edge educational research, SASAMBO is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on urgent pedagogical disruptions, rapid shifts in educational technology, or localized breakthrough learning frameworks may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

SASAMBO enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, pedagogical validity, and analytical objectivity.

  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Subject Editor to assess thematic alignment, methodological soundness (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.

  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established academic experts or senior practitioners in the specific domain of education or learning sciences.

  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on the intellectual merit, educational rigor, and practical applicability of the work to learning environments and institutional advancement.

Mission Statement: "The mission of SASAMBO is to deconstruct traditional educational barriers and catalyze transformative, innovative learning pathways within a rapidly evolving global society. Grounded in the philosophy that equitable, forward-thinking, and high-quality education is the absolute anchor for social mobility, cultural resilience, and human prosperity, the journal aims to democratize advanced pedagogical knowledge by providing an unrestricted, high-impact platform for global scholarly dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse and rigorous methodological approaches—encompassing quantitative educational assessments, qualitative classroom ethnographies, and transformative action research—SASAMBO seeks to empower educators, inspire educational technologists, and shape future-proof, evidence-based learning policies worldwide."
