Jurnal Hukum Sosial Politik (JHSP) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly research that examines the complex intersections of law, social dynamics, and political governance. Operating at the crossroad of legal studies and political sociology, JHSP serves as an intellectual forum for analyzing how legal frameworks respond to political power shifts, structural social inequality, and institutional reforms. The journal welcomes macro-philosophical analyses, empirical socio-political inquiries, and comparative legal studies that foster deeper insights into modern democratic practices, constitutional dynamics, and societal order.

Scope and Topics

JHSP accepts original research articles, theoretical essays, and critical literature reviews across various interdisciplinary dimensions, including but not limited to:

  • Constitutional Law, Democracy, & Political Institutions: Dynamics of state authority, legislative processes, constitutional reform, electoral integrity, and political accountability.

  • Socio-Legal Studies & Social Justice: Public interest law, legal consciousness, advocacy for vulnerable populations, legal pluralism, and human rights implementation.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Hukum Sosial Politik is published twice a year (May and November). Special thematic issues focusing on urgent socio-political debates or legal policy shifts may be published periodically upon approval by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process

JHSP is committed to maintaining rigorously high editorial and scientific standards through a Double-Blind Peer Review workflow. Every submission is initially screened by the editorial team for original contribution, scope alignment, and ethical compliance. Manuscripts meeting these preliminary criteria are reviewed by a minimum of two external peer experts. The final decision to accept, require revision, or reject manuscripts rests with the Editor-in-Chief, guided by external peer assessments.
